The Cafeteria Food Mystery

Has anyone ever eaten college food? Oh my goodness it's horrible. It takes weird but you eat it anyway. Then after you eat it, about a half hour later, you're in the bathroom pooping for another hour. Do you know the feeling?

Here at Eastern we have Sodexho as our food service company. I work as a student employee for Sodexho three days a week. I have friends who work there also. Because I'm working on the "inside" now, other students have asked me about what they put in the food to make us poop like that all the time. I've never seen anything strange being put in the food, but then again I don't watch them make it.

There is an ongoing myth/rumor that college food companies put laxatives in the food to make students use the bathroom more often. The reasons why they do this varies. Some say its because students often don't feel comfortable "letting loose" away from home. By putting a lavative in their food it forces them to use the bathroom whether they like it or not. Others think that they do this because if any of the food is prepared incorrectly it will pass through your body anyway and they won't get sued.

There is also a rumor that says that college food has a lot of carbs and fatty "feel good" food so that students won't be stressed about the pressures of college. They want students to feel happy and they think the food will help them out a little.

In all truthfulness, it's illegal for them to taint the food in any way for any reason. They can be sued for that.

This is a question I would really like to know the answer to because I'm tired of feeling sick after dinner. I should feel good after dinner.
